House Features

The Property

The house was built in 1889, the year the very first production automobiles were being made. Despite a recent restoration, the majority of the main house was left as is, with imperfect floors, marked walls and evidence of history that adds a special character and ambiance.  The house smells like pine and cedar and the lake just steps away.  The kitchen space and bathroom were remodeled to current standards but retain a rustic, natural character.  This is a lakeside three-season camp and not a luxury home, but Newichawannock combines aspects of both.
